LG CU915 Vu Phone

Posted by admin On July - 31 - 2008

Trust me I had my fair share of analog phones before.

But this one, I can’t resist.

FYI: The first day I got the phone, I accidentally dropped it 5 feet from the ground.

What I love about it?

  1. Fast Internet.
  2. Full- screen TV.
  3. Sleek.
  4. Up to 250 hours Standby time.
  5. 3 hours talk time.
  6. MP3 Player.
  7. Camera/ Video Resolution.
  8. Drop/ Scratch proof.
  9. Many more…

What I ‘not so’ hate about it?

  1. 2.O Megapixel is not that grand.

Phantom of the Opera

Posted by admin On July - 27 - 2008

My first time ever to see a Broadway Musical of ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ at The Civic Theater in San Diego. July 26, 2008. I was in awe. It was wonderful! Although I wasn’t able to understand some of the songs, it was okay, I still enjoyed it nonetheless. I also appreciate the fact that the public were there to listen and watch closely. There were no unnecessary noise that I can complain about. Most of all, the characters and their props were so real- like. The clothes were pretty and so were the spectators. All I can say was that last night was a pretty night!

I have always wanted to watch a musical but never got the chance until last night. It was memorable!

I Left My Heart in San Francisco.

Posted by admin On July - 21 - 2008

I left my heart in San Francisco, high on a hill it calls to me
To be where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars.
The morning fog may chill the air, I don’t care.
My love waits there in San Francisco, above the blue and windy sea,
When I come home to you, San Francisco, your golden sun will shine for me.

My Super Lolo.

I have the best Lolo in the world!

He was always accommodating and warm but that was it. There was never a real conversation with him not until I graduated from college. Growing up, he is always been that old guy who likes reading books, has few things to say but the moment he opens his mouth everybody listens. Every time we visit my grand parents it’s my grandmother who is the first one to greet us, always loud yet loving. I’ve always known my lolo as an opposite of my lola in many ways yet they compliment each other. When I started looking for a job, I remember my lolo reaching out to me as his own way of sense of support. Until this very day he never ceases to amaze me. Now I realize he has become my friend. He loves to know everything about what I’ve been doing. He appreciates a simple text message. He is very thoughtful in many ways. He values relationships and is still very sports minded even at the age of 80.

God Bless you Lolo!

Don’t READ!

Posted by admin On July - 16 - 2008

Just Kidding! But thanks for reading anyway. Okay, Hi everyone! I am no different from you. I am jobless just like you (I just saw you nodding your head). It’s not a big deal and It’s up to you if you are wise enough to figure out what to do next when you are in a situation like this.

I am barely starting my life here in the States and I understand that looking for a job is difficult. It’s a hard now considering the economy at the moment however it’s a bit harder for me. Every time I read their job qualifications, I keep hoping that they will not include 1-2 years (normally) minimum experience. Puh- lease! Obviously, most of my work experience were not done here but to the other country where I came from. Whenever I get the chance to be interviewed one on one, I always feel a prejudice air coming from the interviewer. Maybe it’s just me being conscious. Anyway, recently my mother-in-law told me to apply for a volunteer work. It is definitely without pay but it’s the experience you need. At first I was a bit hesitant but yeah, what the heck, I really need it though. Well actually, they need me more. For the Healthcare industry, you can try check the hospital websites locally and see if they offer volunteer opportunities. There are clinics who needs more volunteers plus it won’t take that long for you to wait to be accepted but bear in mind that they will need you to undergo physical check-up and immunizations. For clerical support and community services, you might want to search for non- profit organizations. I am sure there are other groups as well that accepts volunteers especially in the summer however you need resources to be able to be part in these. What I like about Volunteer work is the referrals. I heard that most Volunteers acquire their employment from these companies and some of them are from people they get to work with. Other than that, you meet a lot of people. You start to associate yourself with groups and personally it can enhance my English speaking ability. Secondly, Internet is all about it, just a click away and you are there. The next thing you know is that you will start your volunteer work the following day. I think what’s good about these opportunities is that you get to have experience in the field that you want and work experience that you can add to your resume.

On the lighter note, I know this situation is temporary. I believe in God’s time and I will wait on that but in the meantime, I will also do my part.

Thank you again everyone for reading. Until next time. :)

Your tube!

I always find interesting video clips on youtube. It’s something I can do all day. For me, they are both amusing and just randomly boring. Other than that, they are time fillers. Most video clips are from people who seeks attention, it can be about general issues or it can be about a showcase of talents (with or without). They are videos about everything and anything that you can think of depending on your preference. Personally, I like watching re-run shows. Taped shows that I missed and you can watch them for free on youtube. Thats it!

Here again as I always do, I found videos of these hilarious kids’ statements.

I can’t wait to go out again and again just to feel the summer breeze. Eat produce. Pick flowers (as long as they are not prohibited). Enjoy. Grab my smoothie. Relax.
