Yes it’s the Beijing Olympics!
In 2001, China won the bidding for the Summer Olympics. As we all know the symbol of number eight means luck and fortune to Chinese. It was intense and very emotional. And indeed, favor landed onto their hands. It’s now their turn to impress the world what they’ve got. But it wasn’t that easy. There were Chinese people who were not in favor of it. There were some negative things happened before reaching to this point. One of which, was the major earthquake that shook China as well as the world.
The Opening of the China Olympics was modern, yet very friendly; depicting friendship and unity to the world. “One World, One Dream” is the slogan. There were series of performances as part of the opening of the Olympics; all of them were awe- inspiring and breathtaking. Even kids who performed were also precise in their movements. The spirit of the China Olympics was more concentrated on the youth of the next generation. It was indeed moving for a viewer like me to witness a changed China in front of my eyes. God Bless us all!

I left my heart in San Francisco, high on a hill it calls to me
To be where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars.
The morning fog may chill the air, I don’t care.
My love waits there in San Francisco, above the blue and windy sea,
When I come home to you, San Francisco, your golden sun will shine for me.

I can’t wait to go out again and again just to feel the summer breeze. Eat produce. Pick flowers (as long as they are not prohibited). Enjoy. Grab my smoothie. Relax.

I think all these says it all.

It was our first time to visit Canada so we wanted to do a lot of things as much as we could to make it memorable. Beforehand, we listed the places we want ed to go to. We googled some of the tourists spots and hopefully we could see them for ourselves and just enjoy. From the airport we decided to rent a car just to be able to maximize our time without the hassle of getting transportation later. The place that I fell in love with right when we got there was the famous Robson Street. It is situated in the downtown Vancouver. It was chilly when we got there. Falling leaves. No pollution. Maple trees, Shopping Stores, fashion styles, gelato, people walking, japanese girls, crepes, noodles, coffees, and many more to add to that. Since I’ve been wanting to go to Japan, being there made me feel as if I was in Japan. I like the laid back feeling where I could take time and relax. I know it will take time for us to come back. Being there was fun. I saw the Esprit store in where I spent time shopping. We were just overwhelmed with the city. There were a lot of places we went to that day but we ended up liking Robson Street mainly because of how it is. The Lovely people. The Food. The Shopping.
